Girl crush

Slowly, slowly Emma Stone has been moving her way up my girl crush list.
I'll always find room in my heart for a cute redheaded actress

Especially when she has such good taste

At the SAG awards in McQueen

Still gorgeous as a blonde and (despite the colour) I love this dress.

I'm yet to see her in a movie I didn't like love!

And well let's face it

May the odds be ever in your favour

This could not be more true.

Although I obviously didn't think  about the kind of crowd that would be at a
6.45 pm session of The Hunger Games on a Friday night, in general half my age,
I did dig the fact that I could walk into the cinema and enjoy a little bottle of vino to myself
and then not have to wait outside the freezing cinema for the folks to pick me up.

Have you read the books?
I devoured the three in a week over the Christmas holidays and whilst reading
I was Team Gale but after seeing the movie I think I may be leaning towards Team Peta.

Yep that's me contemplating the important things in life!!!!

K25 A walk down memory lane

Using a hairbrush microphone and dancing The Locomotion in the mirror

Wishing I was singing Especially For You wrapped in Jason Donovan's embrace
(oh yes i just publicly admitted that!)

Camping out for concert tickets

Having plenty of time, while waiting in line for hours to meet the lady and get my book signed, to think of something memorable to say to her and blubbering "your so beautiful" (genius!)

Walking the streets of Chelsea while living in London in the hopes that I would
casually bump into her (and imagining we would become life long friends based on the fact that we were both Melbournians).

Taking my niece to her first (second and third) Kylie concerts

Crying at her triumphant  Showgirl Homecoming tour after the cancer battle

Feeling like my boobs may explode because I'd left a six week old baby
at home to go to the KylieX2008 show.

Oh the list goes on, sure they may not be defining life moments but Miss Kylie Minogue has been a constant in my life, even when it wasn't cool to be a fan.

Never have I been so excited to stand in a smelly back alley as I was
on Sunday as I waited for Kylie's Anti Tour.

No dancers, no costume changes and no hits. It was B-sides and rarities and it was BRILLIANT!!

I can't wait to see what else she has in store for K25, but the anti-tour sure will be hard to top

Revenge

After being house ridden for the past week with a back injury, I'll be glad
to get back into the real world today and out of the Hamptons.

While recuperating I got stuck into Revenge, to the point that last night after watching
16 episodes over the weekend, I was dreaming about the characters.
I haven't been this obsessed with a TV series in a long time.
If you love a good drama and a bit of over-acting I highly suggest you
jump onto itunes and play catch up

That guy

I believe sharing is caring and because I know a few of y'all get a little hot under the
collar at the mere mention of the words Ryan Gosling, I thought you
might like a squiz at these to start the weekend off on the right step.

This open letter to Mr Gosling is probably my favourite.
I swear Megan O'Keefe was reading my mind

Then there's

and possibly my favourite

just incase you haven't had enough

Rainy Days, Lazy Days

It was hard to remember, after looking out the window this morning, that it was less than a week ago that we were sweltering in the last of the summer heat.

Today's goal was to keep the rainy day boredom at bay.

We played Hide & Seek.

Although this usually lasts all of ten minutes because either the little chic can't find me
and gets into a panic or by round 2 she tells me she doesn't know where to hide
and can't quite grasp the fact that if I tell her where to hide I'll know where she is!!!!

Passed sometime drawing

followed by making lunch
(with a little bit of cheek!)

Cheesymite scrolls (or mighty mights as they are known here) are always
a popular lunch choice in these parts so I thought I'd finally attempt
them at home using THIS recipe from taste.com

Waiting for them to cool down was the hardest part.
YUMMMY IN MY TUMMY!!!!

* Now considering I started writing this at lunch time on Thursday and am now
publishing it on Friday morning, I guess we managed to skip the boredom.

But what next?

Hello Blue Ivy

I raise a glass to Beyonce and Jay-Z.

All class, ignoring all the offers for a glossy mag spread and introducing their
new baby to the world opening a tumblr account to show her to their fans.

Just gorgeous, if you want to see more

Oh my god she's back again

No apologies.

Sometimes life gets busy and somethings got to give.
For me it's blogs and blogging.
I get lost in the rabbit hole of blogland sometimes and realise that the quick post I was
going to read before falling asleep, has lead to multiple links clicked and all of
a sudden it's the am's and I'm starting to count how many hours sleep I might
manage to get before the three year old cyclone of energy tells me
"It's wake up time".

I realised I never finished publishing holiday snaps and there's been birthdays and Christmas,
photo challenges and OMG the possible separation of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.

As I was looking through some old posts (looking for a link from an old wish list of mine!!!),
I started reminiscing about days gone by and remembered why I loved blogging
in the first place - because my brain is like a sieve AND digital photos are
easier to looking at online than they are to get printed at those
stupid touch (punch) screen printers!!!

So without further ado, back to it I go.

Catching up, being in the now and general ramblings from my brain oh and
probably the odd mention of Ryan Gosling

and if it's not a mention, it might just be this image (continuously).

Pombal

The main reason for our holiday was for Sadie and I to meet the baby-daddy's family,
and because his parent's still have a place in Portugal is the reason we were able
to be away for as long as we were.

Most of our time in Portugal was spent in a place called Pombal, the main cities, Lisbon and Porto were both about an hour and a half in opposite directions.
Being a city girl through and through I was a little bummed at first that we weren't closer to the cities, but it was a blessing in disguise as we actually got to have a bit of down time.

 lots of exploring (wandering)

Every couple of days we would visit the old ladies set up on the
corner selling nuts, beans and dried fruit.

Mondays were our favourite day to stay in, as the weekly fruit and
vegetablemarket sold the best rissois around.
One day I will attempt to make these myself......

One of my favourite things about Pombal was that you could walk down the street
and on the left side of the road was a massive supermarket, then turn to your right
and there was a castle at the top of the hill.

Amazing
