Bye Bye house
sunday 6th May 10.46 a.m.
On a bleary winter's day we scrubbed, wiped, mopped and used every other cleaning adjective you can think of to get our old house ready for it's new dwellers.
Although I was the one that was desperate to get outta there, I was a little sad to say goodbye. I mean this was the home in which we first lived together, that we bought our baby home to, that P built with his own two hands (and a few extra sets).
I guess he would have a bigger emotional attachment to it than I. He brought the land when we were still "friends". I had NO input into the layout or the exterior so to me it has always kind of felt like P's place. I will miss a few things about it though
Ducted vacuuming oh how we were friends
And my favourite part of the house the powder room with my movie star lights.
I really hope the lady that is moving in loves them as much as I did.
So that's it done and dusted (and dusted and dusted!)
Goodbye Reservoir, it's now time to get acquainted with our new surroundings, well once we sort out this last load of boxes........
ohhh I couldn't give up a powder room all to myself! Well done!
ReplyDeleteOh! I can feel your pain. It is so hard to say goodbye to our homes. We put so much of our hearts into them. I hope your new home is filled with even greater happiness.
ReplyDeleteOh I miss ducted vacuum cleaning.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're moving to a place that has your heart. x
I have to be honest the powder room was teeny tiny, I couldn't fit my make up in there or a chair so that made it easier to say goodbye.
ReplyDeleteI think it's time to share what I love about my new house.
